About Us

Co-Founder & CEO Sachin A. Shah, PharmD, FACC, FAHA

VeganMed was founded in 2018 by Dr. Sachin A. Shah. He was inspired by the challenges he faced while helping patients find animal-free medications. These experiences led to the creation of VeganMed. We are a company dedicated to assisting consumers and healthcare providers in identifying medications, supplements, and other health products that are free from animal-derived ingredients.

Our Mission

We are on a mission to create a world where medications and supplements are free from animal-derived ingredients. 

 

Together, we strive to create a safer, kinder and more inclusive world. 

 

Safer because some people can have a life-threatening allergic reaction due to the animal-derived ingredients (e.g. alpha-gal allergy) in their medications.

Kinder because the use and abuse of animals is not needed to produce health products. Animal-free is better for the climate too!  

Inclusive because over 50% of the world has a religious or dietary reason for not consuming an animal-derived product; their voice should matter.   

 

We will achieve this mission by: 

  1. Certifying products as animal-free

  2. Informing consumers and empowering them to choose animal-free products only
